The data portal is our sustainable solution for disseminating data within UN INFO. Powered by UNINFO 2.0 the portal provides ready-to-go analytics, data and reports all accessible publicly once validated and some after logging in using UNINFO 2.0 credentials.
It will be a single online resource that brings together all relevant UN data and provides value added information for transparency, operations, management and advocacy purposes. It will be developed in an agile manner, and over time new features will be added, included customizations for country pages and the presentation of external curated data. The product has four goals:
Provide UNCTs with up-to-date information on country programmatic activities, financial implementation and progress and/or blockages to allow for timely decision making
Provide UNSDG members information/visualizations e.g. strategic priorities and outcomes, to support advocacy and communications efforts
Enable host governments to view the activities, progress and achievements to increase transparency and accountability of the UN agencies in country
Enable national and international development partners to perform analysis through the comparison of data across multiple categories, inc. countries, thematic area, partners and SDGs, to assess the relative performance of the UN
A sounding board composed of RCO Strategic Planners, Economists and Data Officers will continue to be engaged over the coming months, to ensure the product is a useful tool for the country-level.
